Simple Rules - Respect the Board and Respect Other Members!

To make TexasMusiciansForum.com an enjoyable experience for all, we must enforce a few rules. We do not intend to censor, nor enforce any type of morality, we just want everyone to enjoy using this website!

Minor infractions may receive a warning. Repeated offenses, or major offenses (like ads for cell phones), will get you permanently banned.

1. NO SPAM. ALL CLASSIFIEDS MUST BE MUSIC RELATED. There are forums for discussing anything (such as Anything Goes), but these are for discussions, not classifieds.

Not clear on what is "music related"? Does it make music (musical instruments, guitar amps, PA equipment, even stereos would be ok)? Does it help a person make music (like music editing software, instructional books or videos, instructional teachers)? This is not a complete description or list, so if you're not sure, please ask.

2. NO ABUSE. This is an adult forum, so we're not talking about using four letter words, we're talking about being abusive toward other members.

3. NO LINKS TO ANYTHING ILLEGAL.

4. POST IN THE CORRECT FORUM. Yes, we all make mistakes, but deliberately or repeatedly posting in the wrong forum will not be tolerated.

5. ALL POSTS MUST BE IN ENGLISH. Sorry, but our administrators and moderators only speak English, so we cannot tell if posts in other languages are abusive or illegal, therefore we cannot allow them.

6. BUSINESSES MAY POST CLASSIFIEDS ONLY IF THE BUSINESS IS PHYSICALLY LOCATED IN TEXAS and the first 5 rules are followed.

There IS a way around rule 6 if you have an internet-based business that is of interest to musicians but do not have a physical location in Texas. Edit your signature in your profile to include a link to your website, then participate in some of the discussion forums, such as the Musicians Lounge or Music Gear Reviews. Please note that your posts, and your website link must still adhere to other rules (no spammy or illegal websites, no spam posts).

Your link in your signature will appear at the bottom of every post you make. This not only shows your link to forum members and guests, it is also helps your website ranking in search engines (SEO).
