I find it hard to give my 'resume' here, musically-speaking. I'm an amateur. I play percussion, fiddle and guitar. I'm in my late 40's and have hardly touched an instrument this year, but have gone through periods where I played for hours each month. A zillion years ago, I played lead guitar in a band. I played percussion in school band for 5.5 years. I most recently studied violin in Tyler at the Charlotte Floyd school of music. I've played a few times in church worship band, but am really wanting to find an outlet so I can play fiddle more.
I live near Tyler and would like to find some like-minded individuals who want to jam a little. Light rock, maybe some jazz standards etc. My vamping skills are a bit weak, but I'm motivated to get more serious if I have a group of people to jam with. Anyone interested? I'll be dependable and won't flake out on you, so long as you understand I'm not a world-class player.
